The sustainability of global issues such as energy, environment and food, known as SDGs, is being discussed worldwide. By contrast, we do not hear any concerns about the sustainability of culture. However, to continue to weave and develop culture, musicians have to practice extensively from childhood, along with potential risks of developing physical and mental problems.

The Music Excellence Project aims to create a society with cultural enrichness and to realize sustainable development of culture, in which pianists can continue creative and health performance throughout their lives through making the synergy between art education and physical education.

About PEAC
Physical Education for Artist Curriculum (PEAC) uses a platform that comprehensively integrates the results of research and development (called "dynaformics") into practice and instruction, to provide training recommendations, skill support, guidance, and practice support using technology-based skill assessments. Through a high-precision sensing and visualization system developed at Sony Computer Science Laboratories, PEAC encourages students to recognize their motor habits, posture while performing, and sensory-motor functions. It also uses the results of scientific research to teach students efficient music memorization methods and how to avoid unnecessary strain. This enables students to learn efficient and correct ways to use their bodies and practice, based on findings in the fields of kinesiology and neuroscience.

Four programs that produce synergy with art education
Academy Program
Combining physical and arts education in the world’s first holistic piano study program for young musicians, the Academy Program will enable students to pursue excellence in musical expression and the sustainable development of skills as they pursue artistic maturity. This program aims to having pianists free from physical and mental constraints so that they can focus on exploring ideal musical expression.
